The renovation of a mid-century “ranch” style house in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The house required a major upgrade and the addition of a new office/sun room over the existing garage.

As an “L” shape, the house had the benefit of many incredible views on its beautiful surroundings, but also the ability to have intimate spaces that are still connected. However, the main “public” spaces of the house were closed off to each other. We opened the main living spaces of the house so that the kitchen and living area would be one space that overlooked the landscape and flowed better into the private rooms.
